KoeTsugi

KoeTsugi lets people who speak different languages talk to each other just by speaking into the phones they already carry. What you say reaches everyone else translated into their own language.

Phones nearby connect to each other directly, so the conversation keeps going even without an internet connection. Join a conversation from the nearby list, an invite QR code or an 8-digit invite code. No account or sign-in is needed, and three or more people can talk together.

Speech recognition and translation run on the device first. Audio, text and translations are never saved on the device or on a server.

Each participant is shown with a hand-drawn Humation avatar: on the home screen, next to every message in the conversation, and on the invite screen so people can spot the right conversation in the nearby list.
